Today, I share with you a few recipes that are power packed with nutrition and a Great way to start the day! I personally have a “green smoothie” nearly every morning for breakfast and when I don’t, I can really tell the difference in my constitution as well as the way my hair, skin and nails look!
Consuming a nutrient rich green smoothie each morning for breakfast will give you tremendous health benefits! From weight loss to seeing moles and age spots diminishing! You might also notice that you have a higher energy level and fewer cravings throughout the day!
These recipes are most likely enough to have some in the morning and then some in the afternoon as a quick pick me up snack.
Up-Beet Berries
1 Cup Organic Raw Spinach
1 Cup Organic Raw mixed greens
1 Small Organic Raw Beet (if you can get the beet tops use them as part of your greens)
1 Tablespoon Organic Alfalfa Powder
1 Banana
1 Kiwi (I use the whole fruit, simply wash well and throw it in the blender)
1 Cup Organic Blueberries
1 ½ Cups Water
6 Ice Cubes
Using your blender, blend all of the ingredients until it reaches a smooth consistency. Enjoy!
Strawberry/Banana
1 Cup Organic Raw Spinach
1 Cup Organic Raw mixed greens
1 Teaspoon Organic Spirulina or 1 Tablespoon Organic Wheatgrass powder
1 Banana
1 Cup Organic Strawberries
1 Teaspoon Chia Seeds
1 ½ Cups Water
6 Ice Cubes
Using your blender, blend all of the ingredients until it reaches a smooth consistency. Enjoy!
Warning: A toothpick or floss maybe necessary after this one.
Basic Green Smoothie
1 Apple washed and cored
1 Banana
1 Cup Organic Raw Spinach
1 or 2 Kale leaves and stems
1 Cup Organic Frozen Fruit
1 ½ Cups Water
6 Ice Cubes

Black Beauty
1 Cup Organic Raw Spinach
1 Cup Organic Raw mixed greens
1 Tablespoon Organic Alfalfa Powder or Organic Wheatgrass Powder
1 Banana

Variety is the key to getting the most nutritional value out of your smoothies. Variety in your diet is also the key to achieving and maintaining good health.
Remember the idea is to get more leafy green vegetables into your diet. Fruit works to help purify and cleanse the body. It also adds sweetness to make the smoothies much more gentle on the taste buds.
Green vegetables grown in nutrient rich soil contain all of the iron, vitamins, minerals and protein that our bodies need.
Additions:
Beets add color to your smoothie! They are also good for heart health and as a blood purifier. Ps…don’t throw away the beet tops! They actually have more nutrition than the beet itself! Throw them in your smoothie or mix them in your salad.
Add an extra banana if you need more potassium or just desire your smoothie to be more sweet.
Alfalfa sprouts or Alfalfa Powder. A great super food containing nearly all of the essential minerals.
Wheat grass or Wheatgrass Powder. A great super food containing nearly all of the essential minerals.
Spirulina. A great super food containing nearly all of the essential minerals.
Carrots add sweetness and flavor-again there is more nutrition in the tops than there is in the root. Use them in your smoothie or a salad.
Sesame seeds- bulk fiber
Psyllium hulls- mucilaginous fiber (an absolute if you are not having 2 or 3 rope like bowel movements every day.
Chia Seeds are a great source of Omega 3 fatty acids.
Any fresh or frozen fruit or vegetable.
