Yes there is a cure! Stretching exercise and cardio are good for everybody but here is the deal:
When we eat the typical Western American diet, our bodies accumulate toxins. These toxins build up over a lifetime before our bodies start giving us symptoms of things not working quite right. It can take some time to get our organs and insides working correctly to eliminate pain and inflammation.
Many of my clients see results in as little as 2 weeks, others take considerably longer. Much depends on the individual body system and dedication to diet and exercise.
Arthritis is a form of inflammation. Inflammation is fed by sugars in our diet.
Most important is to consume a minimum of 1 gallon of water each day as well as eliminating all breads, sugar, pasta, starches, potatoes and possibly red meat. A diet rich in leafy greens and dark preferably raw vegetables is best. Dark leafy greens like spinach, kale, collard greens, broccoli, wheat-grass, alfalfa and such will help to cleanse the liver of toxins. This also gives more nutrition to the body and increases energy levels.
The easiest way that I have found to get the dark leafy greens is by consuming a "green smoothie" each morning. Add a huge handful of greens to your blender along with some blueberries or other berry (berries have a very low glycemic index). Fill the blender half full of water and add ice if you want it cold. In the beginning if the taste is more than you can bare, add a banana to the mix but wean off of it a little at a time because bananas have a high glycemic index.
This is a very difficult program to follow especially if sugar has been a main part of the diet, but you should see a huge difference in the pain level and may want to continue the same diet for an extended period even if no results are initially seen.
Oh! I almost forgot and this is very important! Soft drinks are a HUGE culprit in most cases of severe arthritis. The reason, most soft drinks have an average of 16 teaspoons of sugar per bottle.
Sugar free is even worse and more addictive too. Aspartame, is generally the substitute of choice in the sugar free varieties and actually is harder on our systems than the sugar.
It has taken a lifetime for most of us to get to where we don't feel well, whether it's our joints, feet, back or a combination of things. The bottom line is our bodies want to heal themselves. There are also herbal formulas that help detox and feed our bodies and I would suggest a colon cleanse too. These can be found at most health food stores. A colon cleanse is different from a colonic. It approaches things from the inside out. The colon is the axis point for most illness and disease.
